Joy

"I am rich today with autumn's gold,
All that my covetous hands can hold;
Frost-painted leaves and goldenrod,
A goldenfinch on a milkweed pod,
Huge golden pumpkins in the field
With heaps of corn from a bounteous yield,
Golden apples heavy on the trees
Rivaling those of Hesperides,
Golden rays of balmy sunshine spread
Over all like butter on warm bread;
And the harvest moon will this night unfold
The streams running full of molten gold.
Oh, who could find a dearth of bliss
With autumn glory such as this!"
-Gladys Harp

The world around us is beautiful.  Go outside and notice it.  Play in the leaves with your kids. Catch a butterfly or two.  Share an apple from a tree.  Take a long walk and enjoy each other's company.  Visit a good neighbor.  Hold the hand of someone you love.  Listen to your children.  Invite your parents or grandparents to be a part of your day.  Let them share in your joy.  Notice the light in the eyes of those around you.  Make a memory.  Take a picture.  Find your own happiness.  Appreciate your gifts.  Slow down.  Grasp opportunities.  Share who you are.  Realize that you are blessed.  Look for the good in your life.  Write down what you're grateful for.  Just be you.  Discover that you are enough.  Seek out joy every day.  It is waiting, and I promise you can find it.  If you try.

Such a great reminder - joy is everywhere, sometimes we have to be willing to find it!

As I was reading the poem I knew you were going to have some really neat photos with it. I was right. I love your thoughts today. And I love the month of November for gratitude.

Also, how do you get "reply to comment" on your comments. Would you mind sharing?
