In the Distance

It's been a really long time since I have joined in on the fun at I Heart Faces. Their theme for this week is "In the Distance". The description of the theme stated that the person in the photo needed to either be in the distance, or walking away. I tend to be more of an up close shooter, but the second part of the theme was what caught my eye. This image came back to my mind as a favorite of my three hooligans walking away. I think this is one of the pictures that will remain on my desk for a very long time. So much has changed since I took this picture and at the same time so much has remained the same. They are still taking care of one another just the way they are here. Although their bodies have grown in size, so has their need to stick together. Sure they fight now and then. They are of course human, but when the going gets tough this is how they are with one another. Hand in hand ready to face things together. I hope this bond only gets stronger with time. They are going to need each other throughout their lives. This will forever be one of my favorite "walking away" images. To see more photos click on the link below.

Oh, this is beautiful, M! I was choking up a little when I read your post. One of the greatest joys of a parent is seeing how close their children are, how sweet they are with each other. :)

The photo is just perfect --love the light and shadows, love the processing. :)

Oh my they are getting big! I can remember the first Christmas party you guys came to after JM started (I think). He was lifting doop up over his head because I think he was only maybe 18 months. What a rascal he is now. :o)
