This Week

This has been a crazy week.  One thing to the next.  It's like that a lot around here, but this just seems like the longest week of this year.  We haven't spent much time together, and it seems that we have all been going in different directions at a very fast pace.  This image pretty much sums up how I have felt this week.  Crazy.  

Although this week has been crazy, tonight my week was summed up with pure joy.  I don't know if you have noticed my favorite site listed on my sidebar or not, but The Pioneer Woman had a little contest going this past week and I decided to enter.  Well, guess what?  She chose my picture as one of her favorites and posted it on her site.  I can't tell you how happy this makes me.  If you don't know anything about her she is a self taught photographer, a wonderful cook who recently released her own cookbook, and an amazing writer who lives on a ranch and blogs about her life.  She inspires me, and I am so honored that she liked my picture.  It probably has to do with the fact that little Doop is sucking his thumb in this one and she has a thumbsucker of her own.  I don't care.  I am excited anyway, and so is little Doop.  He checks her blog out with me all the time to see her punks and her cows and her funny bassett hound, not to mention the horses.  We love her life and the things we learn from her including all of her photography tips.  Pioneer Woman, we love you.  Thank you for picking little Doop's picture!
