"I am not a human being. I am a human becoming." -Author Unknown
In the stillness I can feel myself becoming. Becoming the person I am meant to be. I feel my heart fill with peace when I choose to be in places where I can make the biggest difference. Like when I sit next to my daughter in the soft evening light helping her with her homework, or when I meet my little man at the bus stop when he happily jumps from his big yellow ride to race me home so we can play. I feel that difference when I stand next to my girl in the gym to give as much support as I can to her while she works hard chasing a dream that I hope with all my heart she someday catches. In the stillness I feel myself connecting to a place and time that I have waited for so long to be in, and in the stillness I feel myself making a mark. I am making a mark in the place I hope I am always remembered with the people that I love the most. No trophy, award, or hall of fame could compare to the worth of the memories I will create with my hooligans, best friend and family, and in the stillness I feel that happening. In the stillness I am making connections that are priceless. In the stillness I am becoming.

"In the stillness I am becoming" - that's so wonderful!! I feel that too, and when things get too busy, I long for that stillness! Gosh, I love those notes!
so beautiful.
those notes are what life is all about. :)
Beautiful. I really love the notes. :-)
I love how she signs her name.
I LOVE that idea of putting paper up for notes to each other! Will you tell me where the paper is put up? How big is it? Do you change it periodically?
Those little notes are priceless. I love your words today!
@Jessica Hi Jessica! So here's the thing with the paper. My girls did this together at church. They both took turns lying down on a long piece of paper and tracing the outline of their bodies. Then they took some time to draw in the hair, eyes, etc... So now we have one hanging on the back of our front door and the other hanging on the back of our garage entry door, and each day they write a kind thought about another member of our family. The point is to fill their bodies and minds with kindness and get them thinking about the good things they see in each other. It's really fun to see what they write every day, and because my little boy didn't make his own he takes turns writing on each of theirs with them. We just started doing it, and we won't need to change them out for a while because they are life size pieces of paper. It has really helped to change the atmosphere in our home and to help my kids focus more on the goals we are all working on to show more kindness to one another. The paper is newspaper that hasn't been printed on yet. We have a local newspaper that sells the extra paper by the roll for really cheap. I hope that helps. You should try it. My kids love it!
