Gathering

I've been doing a bit of gathering lately.  Gathering in all of the fall harvest and gathering in as much sunshine as I can.  I've also been spending lots of time with my hooligans.  I've been gathering new memories with them.  I've been opening my arms up wide and scooping up as much time with them as possible to gather priceless memories from this time in our life.  It's going by so fast, and I want to fill my bucket up for a later date.  Of all the things I can do in my life I know that making memories with them is the most important.  There are so many things about our day to day life that they will never remember, but I hope they remember the details of our time together just as I remember those things about my childhood.  I hope they are gathering things that will help them in the future, and I hope they are gathering traditions and memories that they want to recreate when they have their own families someday.  I hope I can be right there with them when they do because I want to continue this kind of gathering until my arms are overflowing.

Beautiful shots - I wish I lived near an apple orchard.

Great thoughts. The time does go by so very fast. As always, beautiful photos.

Oh, I love these especially the first one. And yes, gathering, something I feel I can't do fast enough - my oldest will be graduating HS in 2 years! YIKES
