I've been a bit lazy lately. I have let things slip here and there, and I've had a difficult time focusing my thoughts and attention on any one single thing. I think I had too much whirling around in my head. I needed a minute to get things in order and map things out. I always function better when I have a course of action, a purpose, and a direction to run in. My lazy time has served me well. I have slowed things down enough to get a plan in place. A new route to follow so to speak, and just in time too. Next week the crazy chaos of life will begin once again when the hooligans head off for school. New challenges will arise, and the busyness will ramp up one more time. This is inevitable, and because it is we took time out this past week to have some time alone as a family. Before we all scatter and head our separate ways we decided to find a secluded spot and just relax. We had a few small adventures in our time away, but we mostly just enjoyed each other and our time alone. It was peaceful. It was relaxing. It was much needed, and it was well worth it. We are getting back to basics around here, and getting back to basics means holding on to the simple things. It's familiar and it's good, and when all else fails it's what I know how to do best. The simplicity of this place alone brought peace to my heart, and being lazy has revitalized me and left me feeling refreshed. I guess being lazy is just necessary sometimes.

Lazy can be good, especially when it leaves you feeling revitalized and refreshed! And even more so if it leads to some good plans. (I SO lack planning in my life since I stopped working outside the home...)
These photos are so bright and pretty. I really love the second one. LOVE photos of wheat! (Hope that's wheat...) Hugs, friend. :)
Oh, we start back to school next week and although as you said the crazy chaos will start once again, at least it will be in the form of some kind of routine, which has been non-existant this summer. I find I really need a bit of laziness in order to organize my thoughts...that's what the beach does for me!!
That last photo - is really lovely!!
I agree - laziness is good for the sould. Love love love these photos. WOW.
I'm glad we shared some lazy this month. It must be a necessity in August.
