I forgot to mention that he did it. He made it through the school year, and not only did he make it, but he did amazing. Several weeks ago on a very rainy day I walked through the school parking lot on my way to Doop's graduation ceremony reviewing the past year in my mind. He had a bit of a rough start at the beginning of the school year. There were lots of tears, and many hours spent sitting behind the counter reviewing the same things again and again. The whole family rallied around him as he learned to hear new sounds and distinguish the differences between them. As the year passed new challenges came, and again we tackled them together. From the very beginning his teacher took him under her wing and ensured that he was never left behind. She lovingly encouraged him to continue trying, and provided him with the support he needed away from home to succeed. The combined efforts of so many including Doop himself helped him to make it to this special day, and I was so proud to watch him sing, dance, and excitedly run to pick up his diploma. That smile on his face was the result of hard work, and the prize in his hands was definitely well earned. I'm so happy that this year ended on a much better note than it started. I'm so grateful for a teacher that cared so much about my boy, and I'm excited to see him accomplish great things in the future. Way to go little man. I love you more than words can say, which is something I never forget to mention!

His smile says it all. Congratulations to all of you!
Man is there anything as hard as watching a child struggle....having them come thru it to triumph....priceless!
