Christmas has come and gone, but my vacation with the hooligans has not. I'm enjoying my time at home with them, and in fact I am enjoying it so much that I have hardly picked up my camera. I did get a handful of shots from Christmas day, but other than that we have been playing games, dancing, riding bikes, and also fitting in the dreaded after Christmas clean up. Not fun, but extremely necessary. Anyway, I had to take some time out of my day today to capture my rock star in action. Santa brought a Paper Jamz for my little man. It was on the top of the large list of things he asked for, and lucky for him Santa came through. I must admit that although I didn't know much about this guitar, I knew it would make noise and I wasn't too excited to listen to it; however, I also didn't know at the time how good little Doop would be at playing it. For a little boy who cannot hear well he is a natural with rhythm and music. This shouldn't surprise me. Music has always literally moved him, but I gained a new appreciation for his talent when he started adding his own musical interpretation in with the existing music on this guitar. He is awesome, and I'm convinced that one day soon he will be a major rock star. When that day comes I'm going to look back on these images and smile because there's really no doubt that music will play a role in his future, and I can't wait to see it. So for the next week I'm going to soak in as much of it as I can. That and more laughing, playing, and getting ready for the new year. So have a good one my friends, and rock on!

How fun! Music is one of those things that is so healing in so many ways and just has the power to move us in directions we didn't think possible.
Wishing you the best of the New Year!!

Really cute pics! Looks like he loves it! My boys go back to school tomorrow so we're sad around here.
