A Rare Occurrence

On Sunday afternoon the house was quiet. Too quiet. Lou was busy doing her homework while JM and I were making dinner and the other two hooligans were no where to be found. This was when I started to worry. I went upstairs to see what mischief the silence was bringing and instead I found Seej and Doop on the bed listening to music together. I was stunned. I headed straight for my camera. This is just such a rare occurrence. The two of them were laying down sharing space, holding still, getting along, and they were quiet! Usually Seej is teasing Doop, or he is wiping his nose on her, or something else that makes the two of them argue. Not on this day though. They were peacefully laying in the light together and I just had to document it. These images will be a good reminder to them that they do have things in common. They both have a strong love of music, and on this occasion it brought the two of them together. Maybe these images will remind them that they love one another through all of Doop's disgusting banter, and Seej's teasing ways. When it comes right down to it they are brother and sister and in the end they look out for one another. I do hope it will remind them of these things. It reminded me, and I will treasure this memory forever.

Beautiful capture of the moment. At my house that would indeed be a rare occurrence between brother and sister, so definitely one to savor.

That's so sweet! My brother and sister were like that growing up. We fought like crazy but sometimes when it was time for bed, the 3 of us would all cuddle in my brother's bed since his was the biggest and I read stories to them. Great photos and I love that they're listening to the Backstreet Boys!!:)

I'm sorry Marvett I have been so out of it lately, I just can not seem to catch up. It always inspires me when I visit. Your images are so wonderful. I read an article about low angle photography and I immediately thought of you! You always have a wonderful perspective!! Looks like they are getting along really well, I love peering into their little world of the moment! Beautiful!!
