I caught him. Asleep in my bed. Peacefully dreaming and sharing my space. He looked so sweet. I caught him holding still, and I caught him looking innocent. It reminded me of days that are past. Just a glance at him sent me whirling back in time when I rocked him in his chair and when he snuggled on my lap. I skipped through memories of holding his hand in mine, and hearing his chubby feet slapping on the tile. I watched him for several minutes, and excused myself from my regular routine to enjoy every part of my time travel. I watched him silently sleeping and I listened to the rhythm of his breaths and wondered who he will become and what bumps life has in store for him. As I studied my baby who is becoming a little boy, I caught him growing. I noticed how far his feet are from his head, and it brought a smile to my face. He is becoming a handsome young man, and I have loved watching and participating in his growth. As I snapped these images of him and reveled in our memories, my world slowed down and I caught him thieving time from my day. I couldn't get angry and I couldn't move faster because I knew this moment would not come again, and so I spent several minutes with my boy. It was relaxing. It was therapeutic, and although he stole my time, it was worth every minute. I'm so glad I caught him.

So sweet. Watching my kids sleep is one of my favorite things to do. Lovely captures.
And thank you so much for your sweet comments on my blog. xoxo
Oh so sweet... i love his foot dangling off the bed. :-)
So sweet! Our kids gravitate to our bed too- something about the security of Mom and Dad. And I feel a lot like you do about my little boy. He's changing so fast! Here from MMB.
The photos -- and the sentiments -- are so beautiful. I don't know how you could resist crawling into bed with him. It looks so cozy!
So sweet! I love this series of photos. What a beautiful boy!
Oh! You just made me cry a little! I know exactly what you mean! My boys steal from me sometimes, but I, like you, enjoy every minute of it! Sometimes I forget that it won't come again, but I try to remember because those little thief's are so sweet! I want to be sure when they are ornery teenagers(like that will EVER happen!)I can look back and not regret rushing through the every day.
Thank you for the beautiful reminder of the importance of letting them steal from me!
Oh this made my heart so happy. I love when my babies climb into my bed (daily) so I know I will be sad when it stops being an everyday thing. Thank you so much for sharing!
