Last week I requested that Little Doop get his haircut before Mother's Day. It was a simple request. I guess I should have specified which Mother's Day, as in this one, 2010. Apparently since I left this minor detail out it didn't happen. In fact it still hasn't happened, and this is what my child looked like yesterday morning when he got out of bed.

The sad thing about this situation is the amusement he got out of looking at himself in the mirror. The more he looked the more he laughed, and he kept asking me how on earth his bed could have done something like this to his hair while he was innocently sleeping.

And then, his amusement turned into something scary. He decided that he liked this look, and started his Ash impersonation. Have you ever seen "Fantastic Mr. Fox"? Doop has, and he is a little partial to Ash, although he tells me all the time that he is really "Kristoperson". It doesn't matter how many times I try and correct the name, he continues to tell me he's an athlete. If you seen the show you will find this very comical. I myself find it very disturbing. This is him growling and shaking like Ash. He actually looks a lot like him here. Like I said, disturbing!

At this point I think that cutting his hair is out of the question. In his opinion this new look is "bad". Yeah, I was thinking the same thing only not so much with the Michael Jackson meaning!

P.S.- I had one other simple request for Mother's Day. A new accessory for my camera, which I did receive. It is sharp, and oh so lovely! I guess this is a good compromise for Doop looking like a crazy man in a boy's body! Oh the deals I make. Sometimes it's really rough being part of this family!

Knowing nothing about cameras, I am guessing this last picture was taken with the accessory you got for Mother's Day. If it was, wow! What an effect!!
Have you ever heard of "The Jimmies?" They have a song called "Bedhead" that I think "Doop" would really enjoy. http://www.gimmejimmies.com/videos.html
Yea, love the new accessory! Hilarious Doop!
Doop is hilarious! I am glad you got a new accessory..I am sure it is fun!
I can relate. I accidentally didn't take my boys to get haircuts for several months and I started to confuse them all with mops.
Love the new lense! So Sharp! Such a beautiful little girl.
