Ben

Meet my friend Ben. I can't tell you how much I enjoyed spending some time with him. He is a fisherman. A really good fisherman. He loves to share his knowledge about fishing and he is so generous to those he meets who share his love of this sport. I learned so much hanging out with him not only about fishing, but about how showing kindness can soften others even if you don't know them. Each person he approached was a little territorial about their area on the pond, but Ben had no trouble engaging them in conversation and giving them pointers and sometimes his own supplies. It was rewarding to witness him in his element. Confident, patient, gentle, and kind. Each of us should only hope to discover something we love doing enough to bring these same characteristics out in ourselves. Thank you Ben. I had such a great time.
