The Beast

Sometimes it's the smallest things in life that make us happy.  Sometimes things that don't mean anything to others can become our treasures.  Sometimes things that once were new and now are old challenge our imaginations making us wonder where they have been and what adventures they have been a part of, and the mystery behind them invites us in and we fall in love.  This just happens to be the case for my little Doop with "The Beast".   "The Beast" is a 1971 Chevy owned by his grandparents.  It's mostly used for trips to the dump and occasionally when one of the other cars is not working.  Many in the family don't care for "The Beast", but Doop just lights up anytime he gets the chance to sit in it and pretend that he is taking it on an adventure of his own.  I love that this makes him so happy.  It is just such a simple thing, but to him it means the world.  Too bad that most of us can't be this happy so easily!

I love all your pictures..they are so good! I love the old truck.. I think my dad's truck is kinda like that in our family.. The kids love to go down the lane and have a little old ride in the back of the truck. Good thing for "old" things.
